People are encouraged to go out and learn more about Broome County’s rich history this weekend.
A news conference was held today at the Roberson Museum and Science Center announcing this year’s 9th annual Path Through History.
The statewide initiative celebrates the cultural and historical significance of communities across New York.
Other participating locations include The Phelps Mansion Museum, The Bundy Museum, Cutler Botanic Garden, Techworks, the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park and the Discovery Center.
Roberson Director Michael Grasso says there will be special backstage opportunities for visitors to enjoy.
“Path Through History is an awesome opportunity for families to come and really enjoy some family togetherness. And also to experience all the rich history that this region in particular has to offer.”
This year, the event will be following the theme of “Sharing Our Stories”.
Some locations are Saturday only while others will be open both days.
Normal admission rates still apply.
