Monday Congressman Tom Reed reacted to the alliance between Ted Cruz and John Kasich.
Reed says it looks like the primaries are wrapping up and that he ultimately believes Donald Trump will be the Republican Nominee and Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic Nominee.
He says this partnership between Cruz and Kasich shows these candidates will do anything to make sure Donald Trump isn’t the Republican Nominee for President.
“I don’t know if it will work or not but when you have politicians colluding and being in a position to just try to stop Donald Trump from getting the nomination, this is exactly the concern I had,” Reed said Monday in a phone interview.
“One of the primary concerns I had with our endorsement of Donald Trump is the folks in Washington are just so afraid of listening to the American people and to the voters of the party.”
Primary elections are being held Tuesday in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
