Police say charges are pending after an Endicott man was in a crash involving a bus and a limo.
New York State Police say the accident took place around 9:40 p.m. on August 13th on State Route 31 in the Town of Verona.
Police say a limo driven by Daniel Sokol, 25, of Endicott, was traveling east on Beacon Light Road, and attempted to make a right turn onto State Route 31.
Police say Sokol failed to yield the right-of-way to a Birnie bus traveling south on Route 31, and that his limo struck the passenger side of the bus.
The force of the impact caused the bus to slide clockwise into the oncoming lane of Route 31, where the rear of the bus struck a northbound car being driven by Marisa Holden, 22, of Mohawk.
Holden’s car veered off the east side of the road and struck a culvert.
Police say she had to be extricated out of her vehicle, and was taken to the hospital with serious head and internal injuries.
A passenger in her vehicle was also taken to the hospital with lacerations and abrasions.
Police say Sokol was ejected from his limo and onto the roadway.
He was taken to the hospital with facial lacerations and abrasions, along with a pelvic injury.
The driver of the Birnie bus was not injured.
Police say the investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
