BINGHAMTON - Once again running enthusiasts can work up a sweat while taking in the sights of Downtown Binghamton.
The 11th annual Parlor City 5K will take place Saturday July 7th during the July Fest and Binghamton Music and Jazz Festival.
This years race will mark the 5th in the Empire Road Race Series.
Part of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Magic Paint Brush Project.
Race Director Joel Boyd says the 5K is a great way to get people to come out and appreciate the community.
"It's just a delight pulling this together and just seeing people coming downtown appreciating all that downtown has to offer, Binghamton is a great place to live and work and I think it's an opportunity for people to see what's going on in the downtown," Boyd said.
