Grab some popcorn and a lawn chair and get ready to enjoy a flick with the family this Summer.

Broome County Parks, Rec and Youth Services announced the details for this year’s free Movies in the Park Series.

Each showing will begin at dusk at Otsiningo Park with the film displayed on a brand new 19 and a half foot inflatable projection screen.

The series will kick off this Friday with How to Train your Dragon: Hidden World, followed by Aquaman on July 19th and Incredibles 2 on August 9th.

Parks Director Liz Woidt says this is an event many people have been asking about.

“So far we’ve had a great response online once we posted the movies on our Facebook pages and the date. Everyone is really excited to be able to come out to the park and enjoy a free movie. It’s just a great way for the community to come out and enjoy it.”

The movies selected were voted on the Broome County Parks Facebook Page.

Food vendors will be on hand for each screening.

Woidt says if the first showing goes well, there is a good chance they will add more screenings to the schedule.
