An Endicott theatre is setting the stage to commemorate its centennial anniversary.

The Lyric Theatre, is hosting a 100th anniversary gala this Saturday.

Re-dedicated in 2010 as the Robert Eckert Theatre, it’s located at 102 Washington Avenue and is the home of the Endicott Performing Arts Center (EPAC).

The event includes a dinner catered by Phantom Chef, with beer from North Brewery and wine from Americana Vineyards.

After dinner, EPAC is putting on a show featuring three dance groups and a performance by Andrea Gregori.

EPAC began operating out of the theatre 20 years ago.

Executive Arts Director Patrick Foti says when EPAC moved in, the building was in shambles.

“When we took it over 20 years ago, it was ready to become a parking lot. The ceiling was dilapidated, the plumbing and heating were gone. It’s really become a community effort here over the last 20 years. Without the help from all of our volunteers, we could not have accomplished the things we have,” said Foti.

Dinner reservations on Saturday are filled, but tickets are still available for the show.

On Sunday, EPAC will be showing the original, silent movies that were screened in 1917.

They include “Butcher Boy” and the full feature, “Down to Earth.”

Admission will be the same as it was in 1917, 15 cents.
