CHENANGO BRIDGE, N.Y. - Lourdes Family Health's new location got down to business Monday with an assist from a higher power.
Lourdes opened its new building on Route 12A in Chenango Bridge next to Price Chopper.
Father James Tormey lead the staff in prayer before circling the facility and blessing it with holy water.
Lourdes moved its primary care practice from 1130 Upper Front Street to the building's second floor.
The first floor houses a new walk-in clinic and also has an on-site lab and x-ray services.
"We want to make sure that when the patient arrives at our location, that it is convenient for them, that they don't have to go anywhere else for their care. It's really important to us that they can come to our building and do everything that they need to do and make sure that they're taken care of before they walk out," said Director of Operations Jeffrey Penoyer.
The clinic has a new state-of-the-art x-ray machine that allows a patient to stand while being scanned.
Penoyer says the building also has a number of energy efficient features.
The walk-in is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days a week.
