Local healthcare providers and industry professionals are coming together to discuss ways to live a healthier lifestyle.
Seven local businesses including New York Skin and Vein Center, Whole Health Nutrition Center, Chiro-Sport and Spine, KW Fitness, Fur and Feathers Veterinary Care, CoreLife Eatery, and Sonostics have collaborated to form the Southern Tier Wellness Network.
The organization will hold monthly health fairs that will include dietary information along with nutrition, skin and cancer screenings.
Sonostics Executive Vice President Kyle Washington says people can learn more about preventing diseases.
“Once you’re diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, there’s no treatment or no cure. What we want to do is get that information out there that exercise can greatly reduce this chance,” said Washington.
The first health fair will take place on April 3rd from 4 to 7 p-m at the Union-Endicott District Office Board Room.
The location may be changed to the Endicott Visitor’s Center.
The health fairs are free.
