Customers at Tully’s were getting served some Law and Orders last week.
Members of the Binghamton Police Department joined other local agencies for Law and Orders Fundraiser Night with proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics.
Officers and Special Olympics Athletes were helping serve food and asking for donations to the cause.
BPD Administrative Captain Larry Hendrickson says they’ve always been a big supporter of the Special Olympics.
He says the annual Torch Run that raises money for the organization typically ends at the restaurant.
“Law enforcement has a long history of a partnership with Special Olympics. Every year we do the law enforcement torch run which helps to raise money for the Special Olympics as well. We do other events such as this and the Polar Plunge. The partnership we have with them we love the Special Olympic athletes and they love us as well and it’s great to be able to spend time with them.”
ery Thursday in May, a portion of all chicken tenders purchased at Tully’s will also benefit the Special Olympics.
