A local artist is looking to the public for help in sprucing up an outdoor installation.
Jablon Studios has teamed up with North of Main and the City of Binghamton to fix the Walnut Street Park Mosaic.
The Broome County Arts Council donated one thousand dollars to cover the cost of the repairs.
Jablon Studios owner Emily Jablon says they are inviting everyone to come out and help with the cause.
She says all ages are welcome and there will be on-site instruction.
“It gives everybody a little bit of beauty in their neighborhood. This project is so special because everyone from the community no matter where you live is invited to come down and take part in something that’s becoming a part of Binghamton’s identity and art history.”
The mosaic repair will be underway from 9 to 5 Saturday and Sunday at Walnut Street Park located on the corner of Walnut Street and Gerard Avenue.
