Governor Cuomo promised 20,000 units of supportive housing in this year’s State of the State address.
In order for the first 6,000 units to be built, the governor and leaders of both houses have to agree that they’re ready to start building.
That written agreement has yet to be signed.
As NewsChannel 34’s Nick Perreault explains, some lawmakers are putting pressure on the governor to act now before they leave for the summer.
On Wednesday, the legislature is scheduled to meet for the last time this year.
