ENDWELL, N.Y. - With the 4th of July less than a week away, preparations are underway for the annual celebration at Highland Park in Endwell.
This year's festivities will begin at 1:45 p.m. with the Boy Scouts reading the Declaration of Independence.
There will also be live entertainment, food, games, vendors, and the pool and carousel will both be open.
On July 3rd the Binghamton Philharmonic will perform as a preview to the holiday.
Executive Director Brittany Hall says they will play a wide variety of music to get people into the spirit of the holiday.
"The Philharmonic will bring to you the patriotic favorites you know and love; Stars and Stripes Forever and we will end with Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture. But also mixing in with the patriotic music we will be featuring Beatles music and Sleeping Beauty's Waltz and a few other fan favorites," said Hall.
The Philharmonic will begin its performance at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
On both the 3rd and 4th, there will be shuttles to transport visitors to and from the parking lots.
