A funeral will be held today for the 16-year-old Binghamton girl who was struck and killed while walking along a Binghamton sidewalk last Monday.
A Funeral Mass for Harper Stantz will be offered at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church on Highland Avenue in Binghamton Tuesday, March 19th at 1:30.
In an obituary published over the weekend, Harper’s family describes her as a free spirit who lived her life on her own terms.
She loved to have her picture taken, she loved animals, she was strongly pro-environment, and she made many great friends that she loved and adored.
The service will be live streamed on the Saint Thomas Aquinas YouTube page for those who cannot attend.
Instead of flowers, the Stantz family is asking people to make a contribution to a scholarship fund established in her honor.
Donations can be sent to the Harper Stantz Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of Visions Federal Credit Union, 24 McKinley Avenue, Endicott 13760.
For those that cannot attend, there will be a livestream available starting at 1 p.m.
