BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - A dramatic series based on the real-life prison break of two inmates from the Clinton Correctional Facility in 2015 is set to premiere Sunday on Showtime.
"Escape From Dannemora" follows the planning, escape and manhunt for David Sweat and Richard Matt.
Sweat was serving a life sentence without parole for murdering Broome County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Tarsia in July 2002.
Staci DaSilva of our sister station WFFF sat down with the series director Ben Stiller prior to a special screening in Plattsburgh...
Matt was ultimately shot by police while Sweat was recaptured and transferred to another prison.
The series premieres Sunday at 10 PM on Showtime.
