A missing and endangered woman from Florida could be traveling to our area.

That’s according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

They say Gladys Matthews Rice was last seen leaving her home last Thursday at around 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon.

She left in a 2005 Blue Chrysler Town and Country minivan with Florida plates.

Rice was traveling to Elmira to see family, but has not been seen or heard from since she left.

She has Alzheimer’s disease and is considered endangered.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the local authorities.
