Cookie dough shop opens at the Oakdale Mall

JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. - Those who try to sneak a bite of cookie dough before baking their confections have a place to safely eat unbaked treats.

Dough Life has opened its doors inside the Oakdale mall, next to Oakdale Pizza.

It sells raw cookie dough that is safe to eat because it does not contain eggs and baking soda.

It's also made with a special heat-treated flour.

Flavors include Classic Chip and Brownie Batter, along with a cake batter, s'mores, and espresso varieties.

You can also finish the dough with sauces and toppings.

Dough Life Crew Member Samantha Small says the store is a cookie dough-lover's dream.

"It's 100% safe because it doesn't have eggs.  It's super yummy, and if it's not something you can finish all at once, it stays good in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. So, you can have a few bites here and there after dinner," said Small.

Dough Life also sells torn-a-doughs which are milkshakes infused with cookie dough.

They also serve milkshakes and soft serve ice cream.

It's open regular mall hours.
