BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Some college kids returned to their elementary school to share their new experiences with students.
Union Endicott's Charles F Johnson Elementary School held a college day.
UE grads that are enrolled in college visited with 3rd through 5th graders to talk about what life is like after high school.
One of the speakers was John Quezada a freshman at the University of Virginia.
Quezada was the salutatorian for UE's 2018 Class and currently majors in Bio-Chemical Engineering.
He says it helps to let the younger kids know the many options to consider when thinking about their future. "It's nice just to kind of start early to have it in the back of your head. What I'm trying to tell the kids is that there's so many opportunities out there. It gets them really excited, kind of motivated to continue to know that the homework's and assignments are all worth it. You can really do some amazing things if you put the effort in."
The UE grads spoke to students about what college classes are like, dorm life and all the extracurricular options while on campus.
