CORTLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - Tioga County businessman Cal Harris has been arrested for drunk driving following an alleged hit and run on Interstate 81.
New York State Police say 56 year-old Cal Harris of Owego was pulled over in Cortland County Friday evening after another driver alleged that Harris had side-swiped their vehicle while they were both traveling south on 81.
After Harris exited the highway, state police tracked him down and pulled him over in the Town of Cortlandville.
Police say he had a blood alcohol content of .13 percent.
Harris was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Harris was tried three times and eventually acquitted of the murder of his missing wife Michele Harris.
Since then, he has had another run-in with State Police who accused him of stalking one of the investigators in the case.
Harris has since threatened to sue State Police and others involved in the murder investigation.
