A new fundraiser looks to share memories created with your dog to help create more for dogs in need of a home.
The Broome County Dog Shelter launched its ‘Paws for Possibilities’ Campaign.
The shelter will be selling weather proof aluminum paw prints to help raise money for the shelter.
The Paws come in a variety of different colors and can feature different inscriptions including dogs’ names, memorial plaques or family names of dog shelter supporters and will be permanently displayed along the fencing at the shelter. Broome County Director of Security James Dadamio says this is a great way for dog owners to help other dogs in need while honoring one of their furry family members.
“They keep coming and talking about the adoptions they had and the stories that they’ve had with the dogs that they’ve adopted. It gives them another outlet so we looked at a creative we to try and fundraise and get some more sustainable funds for our dogs for years to come. And the families get that permanent marker.”
ach paw print costs $125 with proceeds going directly to the dog shelter. Those interested in purchasing one can email firstname.lastname@example.org
