More space to sit, sample and snack.
Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown has opened a newly expanded visitors center at its Belgian-style farmhouse brewery in Cooperstown.
The expansion doubled the size of Ommegang’s cafe and retail store, renovated the taphouse tasting room and added a large covered patio for outdoor seating in the Summer.
The brewery features 20 of its beers on tap, including some that can only be purchased on site.
That includes a new run of its Neon Rainbows beer, a New England-style IPA that will be released to the public on Sunday.
Publicity Manager Allison Capozza says the family-friendly atmosphere also has cornhole and giant versions of Jenga and Connect 4.
“We have a wonderful new menu. Dave Neal, a local restaurateur is our new manager of hospitality. He has a beautiful menu, a wonderful, energetic staff. We’re really providing an experience now that is world class that matches the quality of our beer,” said Capozza.
Brewery Ommegang also hosts Fire Pit Fridays through the Summer from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. featuring live music and a bonfire.
Plus, the final act of its Summer concert series takes place tomorrow evening with Old Crow Medicine Show beginning at 7 p.m.
