BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Binghamton University is reinforcing the importance of maintaining good health while hitting the books.
BU held its 12th annual Health Fair recently at the East Gym on campus.
Over 70 vendors from various industries set up information and demonstration booths for students and staff to check out.
Chobani featured new yogurt flavors, Boar's Head Meat offered some low-fat options, and the university created a sampling of flavored water.
Registered Dietitian Alexa Schmidt says living a healthy lifestyle is easier than most people think.
"We want to show that healthy living is fun and exciting. This is a great way to showcase that to everybody and have them walk away with some helpful resources," said Schmidt.
The event also included chair massages, therapy dogs, blood pressure and cancer screenings along with a build-your-own-salad bar.
The health fair was sponsored by B-Healthy, BU Dining Services and Campus Rec.
