A downtown eatery says it’s enjoying its busiest Binghamton Restaurant Week in years.
The Loft at 99 on Court Street offers new American cuisine based on traditional European recipes.
It’s offering a 3-course dinner for $25.
Brothers Michael and Kyle Bunker have owned the restaurant for 6 years.
Michael says they’ve seen an uptick in business from Restaurant Week this year.
He says he and his brother enjoy getting to know their loyal customers as well as welcoming in new faces. “Binghamton was a melting pot, had all its different neighborhoods, it’s Irish, it’s German, Polish, Italian. So, we put a spin on new immigrant cuisine, taking a little bit of each of those backgrounds, I’m French trained, and putting a French spin on it and bringing it up to modern cuisine.”
Bunker says this Restaurant Week menu has a Spring theme with pea soup, grilled asparagus and buffalo frittes as first courses and cauliflower bucatini, grilled kielbasa and grilled chicken as entrees followed by the chef’s dessert of the day.
Loft at 99 is open for dinner from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
Restaurant Week ends tomorrow.
