UPDATE: Police: 1 dead, 3 injured in Leroy Street 'isolated family incident'

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - UPDATE #2: Binghamton Police are providing more details.

While the identities of those involved have not been released, police say that the four victims were adults - two were male and two were female.

They say it appears the man who died at the scene appears to have been "the primary aggressor."

The other three victims have been taken to Wilson Hospital for emergency surgery.

Police say all four individuals were located outside their residences along Leroy Street, and that the stabbing had occurred in the area of 120 Leroy Street.

Leroy Street between Laurel and Beethoven remains closed off as police continue to investigate.

They say search warrants will be executed at two residences located at 118 and 120 Leroy Street.

Investigators are canvassing the neighborhood, seeking information from anyone who may have seen or heard the incident.

UPDATE #1: Binghamton Police say they believe the incident, which left one dead and three injured, was isolated.

Police say they responded to Leroy Street around 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday for a report of a domestic-related incident with injuries.

Upon arrival police found the four individuals, all believed to be members of the same family, each suffering from stab wounds.

An adult male was dead upon arrival, while the other three were taken to local hospitals.

Chief Joe Zikuski wants the public to know the incident appears to be an "isolated family incident", and that the residents of Binghamton should feel safe, according to a written release.

Police say the investigation is continuing, with more info being released at a later time.
