Some elementary school students got a glimpse today of an upcoming production that is altogether kooky.
Binghamton High School students gave a preview of their upcoming performance of the Addams Family musical to kids in the elementary schools in the district.
As part of the preview, students were able to learn about some of the special effects that go into the show along with some of the behind the scenes secrets.
Theatre Teacher Ariana Koniuto says that this musical comedy is quite different from most of their productions. “We haven’t done something in a while that has been this pop like. So the music is a little bit different then what we’ve been doing and the comedy of it is so ridiculous. It’s just really fun and we wanted something that’s a little bit crazy that had really big sets and a ton of special effects and that’s just really fun for the kids to do.”
The Addams Family Musical will be hitting the stage at Binghamton High School this weekend.
The performances will begin at 7:30 Friday and Saturday and at 2 on Sunday.
Tickets are $6 for students and seniors and $8 for everyone else and can be purchased at the door.
