American Cruisers car show raises funds for local vets

ENDWELL, N.Y. - Local classic car enthusiasts will be revving their engines to help out local vets this weekend.

The 3rd annual American Cruisers Car Show takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Highland Park.

It's an open show allowing all cars and motorcycle of all classes with a portion of the proceeds donated to local veterans.

The top 50 cars will be awarded by a panel of judges and one car and motorcycle will be named best in show.

The money will be given to Broome County Veterans to pay utility and car payments for those who are struggling.

"These guys are people who are in need.  They might have problems getting to work and we give them money to get their cars fixed.  These guys aren't asking for anything. They don't even know that they're getting the money," said Haus.

Last year, over $5,000 was raised for local veterans.
