The daughter of President Donald Trump made a few stops in Central New York on Monday.
Ivanka Trump took part in events with both Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and Congressman John Katko.
Trump met with students and community leaders at Syracuse’s Institute of Technology for a private roundtable conversation, touting her father’s commitment to training workers for growing job sectors in manufacturing and technology.
“The single largest concern for business is lack of skilled workforce. And that’s the single biggest impediment to growth. So I’m really encouraged to see so many industry leaders stepping forward and saying we’re going to invest in our workforce– this generation and the next generation,” Trump said.
Graduates from the district’s P-Tech program– which combines high school and college classes with career training– had the chance to interact directly with Trump and Congressman Katko, the event’s host.
