Helping Celebrate Abilities holds Holiday Party

Some area kids were able to get an early dose of Christmas fun.

IBM Endicott, the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage and the Johnson City Police department partnered up to throw a holiday party for the Helping Celebrate Abilities or HCA Building Blocks Pre-Schoolers and their families.

The kids were able to enjoy storytelling, music, face painting, a puppet show, food and appearances by mascots.

Even Santa Claus showed up in a special police outfit.

Organizers say it was great seeing more Excitement brought into the Firehouse Stage.

Naima Kradjian CEO of Goodwill Theatre says “It’s so great to see all these smiles, the happiness, the kids and everything in a  building that really used to be an eye sore and had a lot of police incidents before we took it over. So to have it now be filled with joy is just wonderful”

HCA is a local non-profit that has been providing services to people with disabilities of all ages since 1947.
