Three Elmira residents and a central Pennsylvania woman are arrested in connection with the assault of a four-year-old child in the town of Newburgh in Orange County.
Following an extensive investigation into the physical and sexual assault of the child, the Town of Newburgh Police Department has arrested 38-year-old Dennis Terwilliger of Elmira.
He is charged with second degree assault and endangering the welfare of the child. He was sent to Orange County Jail with no bail.
37-year-old Deboara Terwilliger and 32-year-old Tanya Rae Kling, both of Elmira, are charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Terwilliger was sent to Orange County Jail on $4,000 bail and Kling was already incarcerated in Orange County Jail.
32-year-old Tonya Lee Krout of Lock Haven Pennsylvania is charged with first degree criminal sexual acts and second degree assault.
All defendants will be returning to the Town of Newburgh Justice Court.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
