A brand new theater company is set to open its debut production this weekend at the Cider Mill Stage.
The Fab Arts Company is the creation of actor and Greene native Jake Wentlent.
The arts production company is opening the play God of Carnage.
Despite its title, Wentlent says the work is actually a comedy that depicts two couples’ differing styles of parenting, from free range to helicoptering.
Wentlent says his goal for Fab Arts is to make the narrative center stage. “What we are going to do here is focus on story. Always pursuing what I would call a true moment of the human experience. So, we’re not going to make a mockery of pain, or let’s say love.”
Wentlent says Fab Arts has planned an entire four show season to take place at the Cider Mill Stage this year.
Performances are this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 5:30.
God of Carnage will then run Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday the following two weekends.
Tickets are $25 and $20 for seniors; season passes are also available.
