En Plein Air: outdoor art show & sale
(Tioga County) – July 15 – On Sunday, July 15, 2018, the area’s finest independent artists transform Owego’s Draper Park into an outdoor art gallery called En Plein Air: outdoor art show & sale from 10 am – 4 pm. Join us!
In addition to the beautiful artwork that will be on display and for sale, we will also have a few other special offerings that include:
- A Free En Plein Air Children’s Workshop
The workshop will be from 1 – 2:30 in the park. Space is limited, so if you would like your child (or children) to partici-pate, e-mail email@example.com.
- Historic Village Walking Tours
Historic village walking tours will depart from Draper Park and be led by the Tioga County Historical Society and Master Gardeners. To stay up to date about departure times, follow us on Facebook.
- Community Painting
In the spirit of En Plein Air, we will invite visitors to paint on our community canvas featuring a scene of Owego. All ages and skill levels encouraged. Artist Toni Jo Katchuk Richards donated a canvas with a family-friendly sketch of local Owego.
- Picnic Tables
Pick up some lunch at one of our local restaurants and enjoy a meal while basking in the ambience of Draper Park.

Tioga Arts Council (TAC), in partnership with the Tioga County Master Gardener Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE), is pleased to present the En Plein Air: art show & sale. This unique event will transform Draper Park into an outdoor art gallery. Now in its 30th year, this event is designed to highlight the talents of artists in and around Tioga County, to underscore the beauty of our community, and to facilitate a meaningful connection between artists and their supporters.
