Catholic Schools Week continues at Binghamton City Hall

The Catholic Schools Week Celebration continued at Binghamton City Hall.

Mayor Rich David was joined by the President of the Catholic Schools of Broome COunty Elizabeth Carter and students from the 4 local schools.

Students helped Mayor David with the raising of the Catholic Schools flag.

Also today, students from All Saints and St.John’s Elementary Schools traveled to Willow Point and Brookdale nursing homes to perform for the residents.

Carter says it’s a great opportunity for them to become more engaged with the community. “We are involved in so many service projects. They are going to do so many things in various different locations. It’s a week when we can look at the end and say wow these are all the things we accomplished in the community.”

The Catholic Schools of Broome County have multiple charitable events going on this week.

They include a food drive for Our Lady of Sorrows’ Food Pantry, collecting donations for the Feed the Children Program and decorating reusable grocery bags for the Loaves and Fishes food pantry.
