Union, N.Y. – The Town of Union Town Board has scheduled a public hearing on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 to provide the public with an opportunity to make suggestions regarding the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.

The Town expects to receive it over the next fiscal year from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  The hearing will be held at Town Hall, 3111 East Main Street in Endwell and will begin at 7:00 PM.

The Town of Union Planning Department is in the process of developing a new Annual Action Plan covering Fed-eral Fiscal Year (FFY) 2019.  FFY 2019 represents the final year of the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan that was previously approved by HUD. The Consolidated Plan identifies needs in the community and outlines priorities and strategies for meeting those needs.  The town (including the Villages of Endicott and Johnson City) does not yet know how much funding will be available for the period October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020

CDBG funding can be used to address a wide range of community needs.
