BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Mother nature is reminding Greater Binghamton that winter is closer than we think.

Though it was just a light dusting, the community saw its first snowfall of the season Wednesday afternoon. With the fall foliage officially past its peak along with the increase in chilly weather and first signs of snow, preparations for the winter season are officially underway.

Snow is expected again later Wednesday evening.
