Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is looking for a new executive director

The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is seeking a new leader as its executive director has announced that she is leaving.

Jackie Peeler is resigning to take a position as a curator at Boston’s Museum of Science.

Peeler has been the zoo’s Executive Director since January 2016.

During her time at Ross Park, Peeler created Nature Play stations including the eagle’s nest, a stream table and Nature Post.

She also oversaw the acquisition of an Amur leopard and two red wolves.

The Southern Tier Zoological Society, which operates the zoo, has already begun the search for a new director.
