Binghamton University students, faculty and staff got a comprehensive view of health and wellness last week.
BU held its 13th annual Health Fair in the East Gym.
The event, consisting of over 60 vendors and a series of demonstrations and activities are hosted by BU Dining Services in partnership with Campus Recreation and B-Healthy, the school’s healthy campus initiative.
A kid yoga demo featuring children from Campus Preschool was taking place when our camera was there.
There were also food samples, free health screenings, chair massage, martial arts demonstrations and the BARK-9 therapy dogs.
Laura Cichostepski is Assistant Director of Marketing for Campus Rec. “We’re hoping that people that come to the health fair today are able to take away one thing that they can do in their daily lives to improve their health and wellness. If they’re able to do just one thing, small steps add up to big results.”
Cichostepski says a couple of new offerings this year were a display on eating the rainbow and a workshop called Flex Your Gratitude Muscle.
