Nearly 20 kittens were found dumped in a plastic bag inside a bathroom in an Oneonta hospital, according to the Susquehanna Animal Shelter.

It appears that the kittens are from three or four different litters, with some just days old– the umbilical cord is still attached.

“It is very dangerous for kittens at such young an age to be away from their moms and since they were dropped off anonymously we have no idea where their mothers are and how long they went without food. If you have kittens you cannot care for, PLEASE reach out to us for help! This is also why spaying and neutering is SO incredibly important and truly SAVES lives,” the organization posted on Facebook.

Susquehanna Animal Shelter is looking for fosters and donations.

If you are interested in fostering for them, give them a call at 607-547-8111 or head to their website, www.susquehannaanimalshelter.org.
