Whitney Point to Ring in the New Year With Community Celebration

From Whitney Point Community Planning Committee:

Whitney Point will be host to a community wide celebration on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day this year thanks to a group who came together to form a committee to put together the event. After months of planning, fireworks, ice skating, a parade, a movie screening, a pancake breakfast, sled riding, finger foods and other carnival type activities have become the end result, representing a celebration that will span both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

"The whole community has come together to make this event possible. We've got individuals, businesses, firefighters, and school groups helping out and doing their part, kids, adults, everyone. It's all about celebrating the year that we've had here in Whitney Point and looking forward to the next one. Come on down, have some fun and tell your neighbors and friends too." said Carol Mau, the group's Chair.

Most of the events taking place throughout Whitney Point during the celebration will be completely free of charge, with all members of the public welcome to attend.
