SUNY Broome to Host “Exploring the Profession: Is Teaching for Me?”

From SUNY Broome:

The Education Department at SUNY Broome Community College will host an event for individuals considering a career in teaching, entitled, “Exploring the Profession: Is Teaching for Me?” on Wednesday, December 4th from 5-7:30 pm, in the Titchener Hall Building, Room 102.

The event will address skill-sets necessary to enter, thrive, and sustain success in the profession. It will also address various challenges teachers face today, as well as offer prospective regional demand for teachers over the next 5 years.

Attendees will have an opportunity to explore pathways to careers in teaching with representatives from the Education Departments of SUNY Broome, SUNY Cortland, and Binghamton University. They will also learn about current SUNY-wide admission requirements for Teacher Preparation programs.
