Second Annual Parlor City Indie Market & Craft Faire

From Parlor City Indie Market:

The second annual Parlor City Indie Market & Craft Faire is coming back to Binghamton. This year’s event will feature the works of more than 30 local and regional artists and artisans, giving shoppers the chance to buy local this holiday season.

This free event will be held in Binghamton City Hall’s Art Gallery at 38 Hawley Street, on Friday, December 6 (during the Art Walk), 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., and Saturday, December 7, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. In addition to access to shopping opportunities, visitors will also enjoy live demonstrations by artists as they create new works in a variety of media, as well as performances by local musicians throughout the day.

The Indie Market & Craft Faire gives local artisans a new, hip way to reach the community. The shoppers are exposed to many new and exciting gift ideas that they may not have seen or known about otherwise. With the artisan craze gaining steam and more and more people looking to buy local, this is the perfect event for those who are looking to support our local community and economy. Last year’s event was very successful, with many of the vendors gaining the opportunity to talk to new prospective customers and to get their name out there within the Greater Binghamton community.

“Binghamton and the surrounding area is home to a vibrant community of artists and makers, and we need to give them the opportunity to showcase their talents more readily to the public,” says Shawn O’Hara, owner of CoWork Binghamton and Shawn Michael Interior Designs. “At this time of year, especially, we have the opportunity to support our local economy by buying holiday gifts from local shops and vendors. This event gives our community the chance to do just that in a fun and festive environment.”

Those interested in learning more about the event may visit or contact O’Hara at (607) 205-8305.
