NYS Loans for Sewage Plan

A no interest state loan will help the Binghamton Johnson City Joint Sewage Treatment Plant make repairs and build a flood wall around its facility.
A no interest state loan will help the Binghamton Johnson City Joint Sewage Treatment Plant make repairs and build a flood wall around its facility.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the plant is being given a $30 million loan package so it can make improvements. $24 million of the loans are interest free. Thee State says the financing will save users of the plant $1 million, because they don't have to borrow the money from other sources. The sewage facility qualified for the loan because it was flooded in September of 2011.
