New York State's consumer confidence dropped 5 percent compared to last year, according to a new study.
New York State's consumer confidence dropped 5 percent compared to last year, according to a new study.

The consumer report, conducted by the Siena Research Institute, shows 40 percent of New Yorkers say they've yet to see economic relief and don't expect to anytime soon. However, 30 percent are optimistic about the economy in 2014.

Also, just over half of New Yorkers say that the price of gas has a serious impact on their finances. Those making over $100,000 dollars a year are the most optimistic.
