Matthews Subaru Collecting Non-Perishable Food Donations for Chow This Holiday Season

From Matthews Auto:

Matthews Subaru is partnering with CHOW this holiday season as part of Subaru’s national “Share the Love” promotion from November 21st 2013 through January 2nd 2014.

During the promotional period, Subaru will donate $250 from the sale or lease of any new Subaru to the charity of the customer’s choice including ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, National Park Foundation, Meals on Wheels and Teach America. This year Subaru gave dealers an option to add an additional 6th local charity and Matthews Subaru chose CHOW. CHOW provides hunger relief to those who struggle with food insecurities in Broome County through 60 local emergency outlets including 30 food pantries and 30 after school meal programs and distributes over 130,000 pounds of food each month. The holiday season is especially tough on families and Matthews Subaru wants to help by collecting non-perishable food items through January 2nd. There will be a Subaru vehicle and CHOW bins available in the showroom for collections.

Additionally, Matthews Subaru will be hosting a live appearance by Santa Clause on Thursday December 12th from 6pm to 8pm for child and pet photos with Santa and free balloons and refreshments. Matthews asks that guests bring a non-perishable food item to donate to CHOW.

Matthews Subaru hopes to collect several tons of non-perishable food by January 2nd and we encourage donations at Matthews Subaru, 3013 Old Vestal Rd, Vestal (Behind Lowe’s).
