Man Convicted of Predatory Sexual Assault

On November 20, 2013 in Broome County Court, Robert C. St. Ives (59) of Port Crane, New York, was convicted after trial of the class A-II felony of Predatory Sexual Assault against a Child. The conduct underlying the conviction occurred during the period of the Fall of 2008 through November of 2010, when St. Ives engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct against a female child under thirteen years of age at a residence in the Town of Fenton.

St. Ives was remanded to the Broome County Jail to await sentencing, which is scheduled for January 17, 2014. The sentencing range for the class A-II felony of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child is a mandatory minimum of ten years to life and a maximum sentence of twenty-five years to life.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Sophie A. Bergman.
