Family Movie Night at the JCC

From JCC:

The JCC will be hosting a Family Movie Night on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 7:00pm. The movie shown is the 2013 released “Despicable Me 2,” a computer-animated comedy rated PG. Cost is $10.00 for a family up to five people, and an additional $5.00 per person over five people. The JCC is located at 500 Clubhouse Road, Vestal, NY 13850.

There will be a concession stand available for purchase and complimentary popcorn. The event is open to the public and no reservations are necessary.

This is the 2nd recent movie night, promoted as “drive-in style” which means families should bring their own blankets, pillows or chairs, and can feel free to come in their pajamas. “The goal of Family Movie Night is to provide an opportunity for families to enjoy a night out together and to provide affordable programming for families in our community,” says Dan Whalen, the JCC’s Health, Physical Education & Recreation Director (HPER) who conceived of the idea and obtained a Motion Picture License to show movies to the public.

“Usually my 2 year old goes to bed early, but we’re going to make it a special Saturday night,” says a mother of two pre-schoolers. “We’ve already seen the movie, and really liked it. We’re looking forward to seeing it again at this cheap night out! It will be a fun night.”
