Endless Mountains Hospital Ribbon Cutting

Endless Mountains Health Systems is celebrating the near-completion of its new hospital in Montrose.
Endless Mountains Health Systems is celebrating the near-completion of its new hospital in Montrose.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held, this morning. The new facility is a major upgrade over its current hospital. It's four times larger, will have more beds and offer expanded imaging services, including MRI. Each in-patient room will have its own private bathroom. The new hospital and physicians clinic will also allow Endless Mountains to attract more specialists to the area.

"For Susquehanna County, this is huge. This will be the nucleus of the medical delivery system in the County for not just this generation, but the next generation," said CEO Rex Catlin.

Cabot Oil and Gas spearheaded the effort to raise more than $5 million so the physicians clinic could be built onto the hospital. Cabot donated about $2 million. Endless Mountains is thanking the Cabot by naming the clinic after the company.

"I'm truly amazed at the outpouring of the support from the businesses, organizations and and local individuals in this area. I believe that I speak for everyone at Cabot when I say this hospital is more than just a shiny new building. It's a symbol of the growth of the community and commitment to the future here," said Phil Stalnaker, Cabot VP of Operations.

The new hospital will be open for business within the next few week.
