Just just four days after the conclusion of the men's event, the US Women's Open began at Pinehurst #2, and there were no shortage of story lines.

Eleven-year-old Lucy Li made her historic debut.

Her first hole, the par 5 10th from the bunker, gets it on the green, looks like it's going to stop, but it would slowly roll off the back.

Li would settle for double bogey.

She would bounce back though, on the first, after a nice approach, putt for birdie finds the bottom of the hole. She would finish with an 8 over 78.

World #1 Stacy Lewis was critical of Li playing at such a young age.

She had a solid round, putting for birdie on 16, drains it, finishes at 3 under with a one shot lead over Michelle Wie.
