Third murder trial of Cal Harris delayed until 2015

The Schoharie County Court has confirmed that the trial start date has been set for January 7.
Schoharie (WIVT) - Cal Harris's third murder trial has been delayed until early next year.

The Schoharie County Court has confirmed that the trial start date has been set for January 7. Originally, it was slated to begin in two weeks.

Harris, a Southern Tier businessman, has been convicted twice of murdering his wife Michele, although the first conviction was thrown out after a post-trial witness came forward. Harris successfully appealed the 2nd jury verdict.

Michele's body has never been found. She was last seen September 11, 2001 leaving her waitressing job in Waverly.

The trial has been moved to Schoharie, near Albany, where the jury pool is less likely to have heard about the well-publicized case.
