Skies will remain partly cloudy for awhile heading into Friday evening, however clouds will thicken Friday night.
A storm system filled with moisture will track from the southeastern US Friday evening to just off the coast of Cape Cod by Saturday evening.
This track should keep most of the heavier snow south and east of the Binghamton area, with just some light snow getting close to Binghamton for awhile Saturday.
Heads up though, heavier snow is possible across southeast NY and northeastern Pennsylvania Saturday.
As the storm pulls away, it will make room for an arctic cold front to drop into our area from the northwest.
This front will deliver much colder air to the Binghamton area for the second half of the weekend and the first half of next week.
