Police Seize More Than $50,000 in Heroin Bust

New York State Police have seized more than $50,000 worth of heroin from two Binghamton residents.

3.5 ounces of pure heroin and 800 glassine envelopes filled with heroin ready for sale were seized from 14 Tudor St., with a street value between $50,000 and $80,000.

Rashid Imhotep and Nathaniel Williams were charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and using drug paraphernalia.

Imhotep is the owner of the Epic Couture Clothing and Cellular Store at 52 Glenwood Avenue, where a small amount of marijuana was also found.

The pair was arraigned at the City of Binghamton court and were remanded with no bail at the Broome County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.

The State Police and Vestal Police Department conducted a two month investigation into the sale of heroin in Broome County, resulting in the seizure.
