Now that the deadline for enrolling in the first year of Obamacare's individual mandate has passed, insurance professionals are looking down the road for other milestones in the multi-year rollout of health care reform.
Now that the deadline for enrolling in the first year of Obamacare's individual mandate has passed, insurance professionals are looking down the road for other milestones in the multi-year rollout of health care reform.

The Binghamton Noon Rotary Club hosted a presentation today by Teri Schunk and Dan Grady from Mang Insurance.

Open enrollment will return in October for policies taking effect next January, and businesses with 100 or more employees will need to start providing health insurance to their employees starting next year. Mid-size companies with 50 to 99 have received another postponement for providing insurance until 2016.

Grady recommends that individuals and businesses consider seeking an advisor or navigator to keep up with the constant changes to the Affordable Care Act.

"Without a doubt its very comprehensive. There's been a lot of changes in the market place, and I think we've all had different experiences with it," said Grady.

Mang Insurance is a brokerage firm that works with a variety of health insurance companies. It serves mostly small to mid-size businesses.
